Minowa Ski Resort — Attraction in Inawashiro

If it's a pow day..... Come here. Had a seriously awesome day here with a fresh 20cm. The top double chair, angel chair, is a detachable double lift (yes they exist) and it makes a world of difference, because it's fast! Cue hot laps beginning at the top of the treeline. The trees up here naturally open up in spots to create some truly amazing lines, traverse hard skiers left underneath the last lift tower and you'll find a stash of snow completely untouched and some really good pitch, with a bunch of hits along the way. A seriously good resort after a bit of snow, and can't say I got yelled at by any patrollers, instead I just skied my own tracks all day. Again, if there's...

Limited lifts but a great place to visit. Only had two lifts open. Bonus is that the hooded Quad takes you high enough that you can traverse to and through some great tree runs. Beauty is the tree runs mostly lead to other runs (be careful of the creeks), making it easy to make your way back to the hooded Quad before going under a main road! Great snow, kind staff, and pretty long runs. 🥰 this place opens early in the season and stays open pretty late in the season. Definitely give it a try.
