Beautiful rice terraces on the Sea of Japan. These Nii Rice Terraces are currently being used (2021) and are especially beautiful in May when the rice fields are flooded. Read moreArea of Nii is just a little north of an area of boat houses in Ine-cho. There is a great scenic view around the coast in the north-east part filled with terraced rice fields. The access on the road is via route 178 to the north. The view offers a great contrast with an extending sight of Japan Sea in its backdrop. This spot is called Senmai ( one thousand patches of ) terraced rice field of Nii.
