Kawana Dolphin Beach — Attraction in Ito

It's a pebble beach instead of sand so the water is very clear but it makes walking very painful. Also it's just full of old men fishing which makes wanting to swim awkward because you don't want to ruin their fishing and you don't want to step on an old hook. Plus the surrounding area is dead almost like a ghost town with no restaurants or shops and the places it does have are seemingly always closed. Been here 2 days and only found one "grocery store" that was open near the beach that only sold like 6 cup Ramen varieties...

One of the clearest and most accessible beach in Atami and Ito area. An arduous journey from Kawana station due to the steep hills and slope, nevertheless it's a wonderful spot. Pebbly rather than sandy but the good side is it's not messy when you set up a camp, doesn't obscure the view under water etc. Fishing, BBQ and pets are allowed; not really strict. 川名いるか浜に行ってきました。こちらは比較的こじんまりとした浜辺ですが、その分落ち着いた雰囲気があり、ゆったりと過ごせる魅力的なスポットでした。何より印象的だったのは水の透明度の高さで、海に足を踏み入れると足元まで透き通って見えるほどきれいで、泳いでいるだけでも爽快な気分になれました。派手な観光施設はなく静かな環境が広がっているので、喧騒を避けて自然の海を楽しみたい方にはぴったりだと思います。磯遊びや海水浴をのんびり楽しめるほか、家族連れや友人同士はもちろん、一人で訪れてもリフレッシュできるような心地よさがありました。海と空の景色も美しく、日常を忘れてリラックスできる最高のひとときを過ごすことができました。
