It's a pebble beach instead of sand so the water is very clear but it makes walking very painful. Also it's just full of old men fishing which makes wanting to swim awkward because you don't want to ruin their fishing and you don't want to step on an old hook. Plus the surrounding area is dead almost like a ghost town with no restaurants or shops and the places it does have are seemingly always closed. Been here 2 days and only found one "grocery store" that was open near the beach that only sold like 6 cup Ramen varieties...

Cons: not much shops/eateries around so it's best to pack your own food; virtually no shower stations! Just a few spouting faucets--a...

I visited Kawana Iruka Beach, a small and peaceful spot with a relaxing atmosphere. Unlike large tourist beaches, it has a calm charm where you can truly enjoy nature. What impressed me the most was the clarity of the water — so transparent that I could clearly see my feet beneath the surface. Swimming there felt refreshing and truly uplifting. Since there are no flashy facilities, the beach is quiet and perfect for those who prefer a serene environment. You can enjoy swimming, exploring the rocky areas, or simply relaxing by the sea. It’s a place that families, friends, and even solo visitors can enjoy in their own way. The beautiful scenery of the sea and sky made it an ideal spot to unwind and forget about the busyness of daily life. Kawana Iruka Beach is definitely a hidden gem for anyone who...
