Although I don't speak any Japanese I was able to communicate using Google Translate and Google Lens. Google Lens was also helpful to translate all information in the museum. Hopefully they will add English translations at some point which would make it easier for non-Japanese tourists. The excavation was very interesting and I found a tooth of an Enchodus (fish). One photo is after some preparation and the other one as I found it with the tip still covered. The stone is very soft and easy to remove. If you are a fossil enthusiast I can totally recommend Iwaki Ammonite Center even if you don't speak Japanese. But make sure you have a translate app. As I was traveling through Japan with a Japan Rail Pass I walked there from Suetsugi station.
