Izumi Crane Observation Centre — Attraction in Izumi

It was a great opportunity during our November 2024 Kyushu road trip to stop by here. The cranes are only staying here for the winter from early November until spring time. There are several different species to observe. The observatory is well maintained and the staff is so kind and helpful. We enjoyed the educational information on the 2nd floor and the outlook from the roof top paired of with hundreds of cranes standing on the ground or flying by with high speeds. Was here on 21 Feb 24 before sunrise to see the cranes. You can park your car close to the observation centre. Entrance fee is 1,000 yen per vehicle. Was able to see the cranes from the roof top of the centre. Amazing views and can see cranes flying above you and in front of you. Nice place to visit during the crane...
