Spotters must to do at KIX Osaka Kansai International Airport. There is provided a free shuttle bus service from Terminal 1 (bus bay number 1), during weekday in 20 minutes interval (0, 20, 40), weekends even 10 minutes in rush hours. Bus ride is just around 6 minutes, so works well even for a longer stopover guys who don't want to visit Osaka centre, but would like to stay around the airport island. The building is near runway 24L.
They have cafe, shop, and museum. I wish they could add more activities and fix the push-back car simulation. The flight simulator yoke need to be fixed as well.
To me, the highlight was the observation deck, where you can enjoy the sun and view of the airport. Heaven for airplane spotters.

Read moreGreat way to burn your time before you leave Osaka, especially with a spectacular view of Terminal 1 plus the take offs. If you're lucky, you can spot planes landing in that direction.
There's a shuttle bus that goes from the end of the south wing, departure level (level 4). Frequency is once every 30 minutes. Otherwise you gotta walk 25 minutes there from the terminal.
There's also a museum worth looking around, especially if you're into planes and aviation history. Text is only in Japanese so you might need to take a photo from your phone and translate the scripts manually...
