Clean port indeed! There are English maps that they are handling out on the information. We also had a chance to bump some highschoolers who sells matcha mochi and were so nice! I think they are also filming it for their local tv station. I’d say there was a language barrier at first but some of the students speak good English so when they ask us to try, we did not hesitate to do so!
We didn’t try to take cab going to attractions (even though we carry 2 big luggage), as there were long lines coming from Cruise passengers. We walked from Port to the nearest JR line (going to Chuo Station), it took us a good 1 hr & 10 mins on walk.

There's a large field where one can play sports or run around a track. This is a very planned port and it's very well laid out. The only drawback is it's a long walk to town. Good place to do people watching as we saw lots of people pushing their pets around in strollers or in costumes.
