The River of Nanatani is located in the north-west of the central part of Kameoka City. The name Nanatani stands for 7 valleys. Along the river 1500 trees of cherry are lining up in a length of 1 km around a park for pedestrians. In its park you can see 28 different species of cherry blooming in colorful ensemble with gentle sound of seasonal birds Uguisu charping around the area. The place is one of the selected cherry blossom viewing spots of Tamba region. This specific walking path near Sakura ( cherry blossom ) Park is called Yawaragino-michi ( Relaxing path ). The place can be found right next to a large sports facility with a baseball ground for youth. Cherry Blossom Festival is held on 7th of April, but the best time to view flowers is at the very end of March unntil at the very beginning of April. There is a facility for camping right next to the upstream of the river. The light up time is between 19:00 and 22:00 when the flowers are bloomimg.
