This is my 3rd caves in Japan. It took about +/-1.5 hr to get here from Kochi station. Always nice to be in the caves during summer. Initially, I thought I would be the only one since it was morning and weekday. I still like the Aikyoshido cave the best but this cave also gave me different perspectives of the art but the nature. I thought this cave having narrow walk path up and down were quite nice because that should be how a natural cave should be. Interestingly, in the cave there were bats. Finally a cave with wild life. The previous I thought get to experience. Usually with bats due to the fecal it should be so sort of smell, but you don’t get to smell it here. And I finally heard the sound that bats made. Sorry, being living in the city you don’t get to experience it. At the almost ending, there was a little movie clip. Initially I thought it was cool. But was also thinking whether it will have an impact on the bats? But maybe it might not. Many might miss it. So please ensure you don’t miss the little movie. The cave is long and I take my own sweet time to enjoy the moment. As long as I catch my bus. No need to rush, enjoy 1.5hr. It really nice. I must admit the price is a little steep for 1200yen. Given that I already spent on transport one-way almost 1000yen. The staffs were friendly and enthusiastic. Like the vibe to help to kick off the morning exploration of unexpected art of nature!😊 I think it is still worth the effort to experience walking into the dragon.

爺やの車で訪問しましたわ。 こちらは日本三大鍾乳洞の1つに数えられることの多い場所ですわね。 龍河洞公式X（旧Twitter）アカウント様にも記載されている最終入洞17:00のリアルを良い意味で残しておこうと思いますわ。 龍河洞公式X（旧Twitter）アカウントは@ryugadou_kochiですわ。当日の開館状況などをポスト（旧ツイート）されておられますので、訪問予定の方は逐一チェックですわ。 時期によってはイベントが開催されており、営業時間が異なるそうですわ。夏にはナイト営業もしておられるとか…。 まずワタクシ達、到着がどう足掻いても16:50頃になる予定でしたので予め電話をかけさせて頂きました。電話口の女性の方は優しく丁寧でしたわ。公式X（旧Twitter）にも記載がある通り、17:00までにチケットを購入して洞内に入ることができれば基本的には大丈夫だが、現場の判断になる場合もあるとのことでしたわ。時間に余裕を持った訪問は大事ですわ。お互いの為にも。本当に申し訳がないですわ。 なんとか間に合った為中に入ることを許していただけましたが入った途端にヒンヤリとした冷気に襲われましたわ。鍾乳洞あるあるですわね。とはいえこちらは他の鍾乳洞とは少し違いますわ。 違うポイントその① 通路の歩きやすさ 基本的に鍾乳洞のお友達は頭上・足元注意ですが、酷く低い天井もなく、足元はかなり丁寧に舗装されていますわ。一部通路の横が水路の場所もありましたが落ちやすい場所ではない為気をつけて歩けば良いと思いますわ。 爺やもニコニコしていましたわ。 違うポイントその② 岩、カラフル過ぎる 赤、緑、黄色、青、パプリカの如くカラフルフレッシュですわ。勿論写真に映えるといった効果もあるとは思うのですが、暗い洞内では高低差がイマイチ分からないことも多いため、カラフルフレッシュのお陰で真上が見えないほど高いと認識する事ができますわ。 爺やはミネイロン及びマラカナンの悲劇を想起してシクシクしていましたわ。ニコニコからシクシクへと流れるように移ろいゆく様はまるで日本の四季でしたわ。儚く、美しいですわね。 違うポイントその③ 急な階段が少ない 鍾乳洞といえば暗く急な階段を上って下ってを繰り返す事が多いですが、こちらは穏やか〜普通レベルの階段ですわ。手すり付きですので安心安全、足元もカラフルフレッシュに照らされて安心安全ですわ！ 半分以上進んだところで鍾乳洞といえば、なものが見られますわ。そう、皆様ご存知プロジェクションマッピングですわね。 爺やは大きな音に驚いてしまい脱兎の如く逃げてしまいましたが、鍾乳洞形成までと動植物の成り行きを対比させるような演出には驚きましたわ。一見の価値ありですわ。あとこの辺コウモリいますわ。 出口まで進むと遊歩道があり、道なりに猪突猛進すると駐車場へと戻る事ができますわ。 こちらの遊歩道、全てコンクリートで舗装されており、運営様には頭が下がる次第ですわ。 途中にあるお土産屋さんで包丁をしこたま勧められますので料理研究家の方は是非とも参考にして頂きたいですわね。 ワタクシ達が到着した16:50時点で駐車場は7割ほど埋まっていましたので、連休に訪問される際は空いている時間を見計らう必要があると思いますわ。注意点はそのくらいでしょうか。とても素晴らしい場所ですので皆様四国へ来た際はお勧めですわ。 修二と彰に並ぶギリギリの訪問になってしまいましたが、従業員の方は嫌な顔ひとつせず対応してくださいましたわ。本当に感謝感謝で頭が下がりますわ。

Really nice cave experience. The main halls aren’t as huge as some of the ones in Okinawa, but the course is probably longer. About 1 km with lots of ups and downs. While the floor is well maintained and built for walking, the passages can have surprisingly low ceilings and/or narrow gaps. You’ll have to work a little going through here! At least there’s an escalator up to the entrance so you won’t be pre-exhausted going in!

It is costly but worth it...a beauty of nature. Warm in winter and cool in summer. Some places are quite narrow and low ceiling. A lot of stairs to reach the cave and inside, too. Pity that the black ugly cables aee running around and visible inside... Just before the end of the route, there is a projection mapping of image of the stone age or something.

二月三連休の中日、朝9時ごろ到着しました。 60代の両親、小学生、4歳、3ヶ月の子どもと行ってきました。 洞窟の入口へは、エスカレーターでのぼり、洞窟内もベビーカー不可なので、抱っこひもで参戦。 外気温は10℃に満たなくても、洞窟内は15℃くらいに保たれています。 真冬でも、ダウンコートやタートルネックでは洞窟内暑かったです。 所々、『ここ通れる？』と心配になる狭い箇所あり。（ブラマヨ小杉さん、通れないかと） 神秘的で冒険気分で楽しめます！ 出口付近の休憩所や、土産物通りにあるお手洗い、とても綺麗でした。 授乳スペースもアリ。 また来ます！ ＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿ On the second day of the three-day weekend in February, we arrived around 9 a.m. We went with both of my parents in their 60s, an elementary school student, and my 4-year-old and 3-month-old children. We took an escalator to the entrance of the cave, and inside the cave, strollers were not allowed, so we used a baby carrier. Even though the outside temperature was less than 10°C, the cave was maintained at around 15°C. Even in midwinter, it was too warm inside the cave with down coats and turtlenecks. There were some narrow spots where we worried, "Can we pass through here?" It was a mysterious and adventurous experience! The rest area near the exit and the restrooms in the souvenir street were very clean. We will come again!

めっちゃ楽しかったです！ 観光コース、冒険コース、西本洞コースとあり、冒険コースと西本洞コースは事前予約制です。 西本洞コースだけは春頃から夏終わりまでしかやらないそうなので気をつけて。 体力に自信があるなら、ぜひ冒険、西本洞コースを！ 今回は西本洞コース（約30分）を予約しました。 予約時に着替えとタオルを持ってくるように言われます（西本洞は下着まで濡れます。タオルは一人２〜３枚持ってく安心です） 龍河洞の入口にある観光センター（バス停の目の前）で予約した事を伝えてツナギの有無（有料）と体温をはかり記入してもっらた紙を持って鍾乳洞入口に向かいます。 長い階段を登りますが、右手側にエスカレータが設置されてます。 登りきったら左側に進むと受付があり、紙を見せて精算。 係の方（ガイド）が更衣室に案内してくれます。 途中に滑り止めの靴（少し大きめを選ぶと良い）を選んで更衣室へ。 中にはツナギが複数あるので体に合ったサイズを選んで着替えてタオルを首に巻き付けて、スマホを持って行く場合は防水ケースに入れたほうがいいです。撮影はガイドさんがやってくれるのでこだわりがなければ持たなくても大丈夫です。 着替え終えて、ガイドさんと合流して貴重品は小さいロッカーに入れます。膝、肘当てをつけ、ヘルメットをかぶって準備完了。 ガイドさん合わせて５人でスタート！ とにかく、大変でした。30分ほどの探検ですが狭い場所で足場の悪く水が流れる中をよじ登ったり体を捻ったりと大変でしたが、ガイドさんや一緒に参加した方々のお陰で無事に外に出れたときは爽快でしたね！母と二人で参加しましたが、母（７０歳）でも健脚と体力さえあれば西本洞はいけます！ 西本洞コースを終って着替えたら観光コースを巡って体験終了です。観光コースは足場はしっかりしているので大丈夫ですが、背が高い方にはかなり屈まないと通れない場所や長い階段があったりとしますが、所々に椅子が置かれているので、ゆっくりと巡ることができました！ 西本洞コースは期間限定ですが、冒険コース（９０分）は年中参加できるそうです。因みに西本洞コースからの冒険コースの参加は出来ませんが、冒険コースからの西本洞コースは可能だそうです。コースが全く違うので体力に自信がある方は試してみるのもありです。 もちろん観光コースだけでも鍾乳洞楽しめますので是非体験してみて下さい！ バスがあんまり無いので帰りのバス時間を確認し忘れずに！
