Great park with interesting events and flower displays for all seasons. The best time to visit is definitely the late spring bloom of roses in May but be prepared for large crowds. Autumn also has a beautiful display of roses but not as spectacular, although maybe more fragrant. There are many other flowers on show throughout the park during the year with probably the best display in the furthest back corner from he entrance. There there is a field filled with different flowers throughout the year depending on the season, nemophila, sunflowers, and cockscomb have all been there at one time or another. Can’t recommend this park enough if you are in the area. Entrance fees change during the season, ¥1,050 per adult during peak times, ¥500 off peak, and free during the winter months. Children are free admission. A year pass is also available for ¥2,100.

I visited during the later part of May. The roses were absolutely stunning! I highly recommend visiting but be sure the flowers are in bloom. It was fantastic, there were a few performers here and there. The sweet aroma of the different roses mixed together making everything smell so beautiful! There's quite a few food vendors but also spaces for picnics. There were a good number of bees buzzing around, it being flowers and all, so be aware if you have any allergies. There were so many different types of flowers and they're all well marked so you can tell which is which. It was a great experience and I am glad I was able to see the roses before going home. Amazing garden. Huge with many, many varieties of flowers. There are huge open fields of just flowers, or trimmed and designed hedges, or seating space. There are also places for kids to play, like a playground or trains. The flowers themselves are lovely and well-kept, and the architecture places emphasis on the plants themselves. There is an observation deck, in which they sell food and let you have a view of the entire park. There is also an area near the entrance for various cultures to present themselves and what's important to them. Not sure what correlation that has with plants, but the event is welcome and very fun anyway.

Great for a day out. The park looks fairly recent, and well maintained. It's divided in small areas like little worlds within the park. You can get a 360 view from the tower, and take home rose trees from the shops inside. There's also a "family area" good for pic nic and kids playing with water. If you go by train, make sure to get off at Godo station. Then it's about half an hour walk (uphill) Google map might be sending you to the west of the park but there's no entrance on that side. You'll end up walking all the way around the forest. Speaking from experience. See map of the park attached for guidance. Enjoy!

Eummmm!! You want roses, THATS the place you need to go!!! The most beautiful arrangements of roses I’ve ever seen in my life!😱 I got the early access on the weekends and I HIGHLY recommend it!!! You get to enjoy not only the intense smell of the roses in the early hours of the day (with early access you can enter as of 7h am) BUT take the most amazing pictures with the dew on the roses petals! Plus less people in the gardens!!! Absolutely worth getting up early and paying a little extra (2000¥ instead of 1300¥ I believe). It’s ABSOLUTELY a show stopper, worth the detour !!

実家に住んでいた頃は、（ずっと 気にはなっていたが）遠過ぎて 来園には 二の足を踏む。 数年前 小牧に移住、以来 毎年５月中旬〜下旬・10月中旬〜下旬の年２回、必ず訪れる。 因みに 新聞に依ると、秋は 春より、（数では劣るが）個々の花の香りと色合いが強いと云ふ。 今迄の経験では、5/20頃が 最も混む。 退園時点は、入口に 数珠繫ぎの 長い車列発生。 会社の同僚（年間パスポート購入者）に依ると、東ゲート駐車場の方が、まだ ましらしい。 2023.5/13…例年の5/20前後並みの お花見客。 コロナ禍の鎮静化に依るものか？。 10/14…丁度 開園の9:00到着、時間＆時季が早い為、来園客は まばら、薔薇も まばら。 其れは 予め覚悟した通り、其れでも（数年前の今頃の時季に魅了された様に）大規模な秋桜の お花畑でも有れば、堪能出来るかと。 結果、秋桜こそ 矢張り 時期尚早だったが、マリーゴールドの広大な お花畑に見入る。 此処数日は、仕事の後、自宅から徒歩５分程に在る " 薔薇の館 " 迄、毎日の様にプチウォーク。 道路に面した（一般ピーポーの民家にしては）夥しい数の薔薇の 美しさ・かぐわしさを堪能しつつ、来園の日を待ちわびる。 2024.5/18…ちょっぴり？心が華やぐ朝、昨年同様、7:00頃 自宅を出発。 近づくにつれ、トキメキハートは止まらない。 しかし、そんな気分に冷水をぶっかけるかの様に、広大な駐車場は 限りなくほぼ 満車モード。 警備員さんに誘導された（本来）バス駐車場。 同じ8:00前後到着でも、ガラガラだった昨年とは雲泥の差。 こりゃ、（9:00開門の）ゲート迄、どんだけ長蛇の列になるやら、と うんざり、げんなりしながら歩いてくと、意外にも 少ない人々。 係員さんが、「 " アーリーゲート " 御希望の方は、此方へ！」と呼びかけているのを見て、" ガッテン！"（古い台詞やな）。 （本来は1050円だが）2000円払いさえすれば、8:00に入園OKらしい。 そして 殆どの先客達は、２倍の料金を払ってでも、待たずに入る方を選択したらしい。 そして、予め サイトか何かで 其れを承知していて、例年よりも早い到来らしい。 勿論、私も 即座に支払って、薔薇の お花畑へと 消へてゆく。 10/20…来週土曜に来園のつもりだったが・・。 昨日の中日新聞で、現在 薔薇の盛りと知る。 著しい残暑の今年 故、開花は かなり ずれ込む と、素人判断で 勝手に そう思ひ込んでいたが、記事に依ると、実は 暑かったからこそ、早めに咲いている との事。 昨日は、件の記事を読んて 知ったのが、もう昼間近だったし、じきに雨が降るのは必定。 来週の連休、２日間とも雨降りだと後悔するので、初めて 日曜日に来園（翌日が 疲れで辛いので、ホントは、土曜日の方が お気楽だけど）。 （昨年も、厳しい残暑が 秋に ずれ込んだので）今秋も、薔薇とキンモクセイの甘い匂いが、渾然一体となった一帯を歩いてく。 とは云へ、キンモクセイに 少々？押され気味。
