This is a quaint little aquarium at the north-western most point of the Japanese mainland. You basically walk along a small bridge, then descend 10-15m down beneath the surface. There are portals allowing you to look out onto the small reef surrounding the structure, and the fish which live there. The fish were inquisitive and got close to the portals.

Overall it was interesting, but very over-priced (1000 yen) for what it is - especially given the amount of effort required to get there. This is the perfect place for children or people who are interested in the sea and nature. When you go undersea you can feel calm and listen to relaxing music as fish swim around you. I really enjoyed visiting this place and was impressed by all the fish. It is a little small, but worth a visit if you’re in the area or are stopping...

It's something you do once 8f your in the area, can enjoy around 20 mins looking...
