Yukiyagawa Dam Forest Park — Attraction in Karumai

I went during the tulip festival on May 3rd. If you drive in from the north on a sketchy dirt road, you will see cars parked on the side of the road close to the entrance. I would advise you to park there as soon as you see a spot unless you want to drive around a while in the parking lots waiting for someone to leave. The parking lots were pretty full, but there were staff directing cars to empty spaces. You can also decide to go later in the day around 2 pm or 3 pm when a lot of people are leaving.

I liked the scenery of the tulip fields and windmill. I got lots of nice photos of my dogs. They laid down a green fabric to help keep the dust down. I was able to push my two dogs around in a stroller. The suspension bridge is cool to walk across, a little scary as the wind makes it sway.

I enjoyed an omu-soba at one of the many food stalls there and finished the day with perilla ice cream and hardy kiwi ice cream. 2023年のゴールデンウイークに訪問しました。非常に混んでまして、駐車場に入るまで20分位渋滞してました。駐車場附近まで来ると誘導の方が大勢いて、スムーズに駐車することができました。 キャンプ場エリアのトイレは、くみ取り式の和式です。男性の小エリアも昔ながらのキャンプ場によくあるタイプの便器が無いタイプです。小学生位の男の子が「これどうやってトイレすればいいの？」って言ってましたが、見たことないかもしれませんね。 犬も入れるとブログに書いている方がいらっしゃいましたので、38kgのゴールデンレトリバーを連れて行ったのですが、この日は非常に込み合っていて、チューリップエリアは抱っこできるペットに入場を限定しているとのこと。 38kgはちょっとだっこできないので、周りだけ散策してきました。 それでも風車のところにもチューリップ咲いてるし、柵の外からでも十分チューリップ満喫できましたので、大満足でした。 キャンプ場エリアは芝生があって、レジャーシートを敷いてピクニックしている方も大勢いました。遊具もあって、お子さん連れの方が多い印象です。 チューリップの時期以外でもま...
