Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Ancient Bronze Mirrors — Attraction in Kasai

Very cheap entrance fee it was like 100 yen or something if ai remember correctly. The museum is small but is very well kept and beautiful. If you’re visiting the flower garden i highly recommend giving this place a go.

兵庫県立フラワーセンター内にある、古代鏡をはじめとする紀元前からの青銅器などを展示している施設です。 入館にはまずフラワーセンターに入るための入館料が必要となりますが、こちら自体の入館料はたったの100円となります。 そして100円以上の価値はゆうにあったと断言します。 （余談ですが施設自体も新しいものですのでトイレも綺麗でした）

古代鏡だなんてどうせ姿見は出来ないし、単純に青くて丸いだけじゃないの…と思って行ったため、入ってすぐその浅い見分を改めることになりました。

紀元前のものとは思えない細かい装飾に加え、そこに彫られた言葉に込められた願いは夫婦円満や争いへの憂いなど今でも変わらないもので、 また、装飾そのものにも縁起が良いものであったりと時代を超えた想いを感じ取れたような気がしました。 時代が進み、唐の時代ともなると螺鈿や鉱石の加工技術が進み、華美さを増して純粋に美しさを楽しむこともできました。
