I live in Izumi and have been wanting to find a park or area where I can barbecue anytime of the year. I am glad that I found this place. It took around 20 minutes by bicycle from my apartment, and I was glad to see that the roads are safe. I first visited on a Sunday, and many families were arriving as it was cherry blossom season. The park is very large, with lots of spaces to put a mat and have a picnic. There is a large pond where you can feed the carp and the ducks by buying their food at the management office for 100 yen. The management office is also where you pay 1,650 yen in advance if you want to barbecue. However, you have to bring all the materials and ingredients with you, as they don’t rent or provide them. You also have to bring your trash home with you. I think I will be coming back to this park more...
