This is a temple and praying space for Buddhist. People are free to enter but please respect the holy area. Nice area for enjoying nature according to the seasons: from Sakura, Wisteria, and Hydrangea flowers to the changing color of maple leaves. They usually have wisteria festival since wisteria during the Golden Week. Wisteria is probably the most known flowers here. There is a park nearby, offers a sightseeing tower and an open space. The park is worth to visit. Public toilet is available in the temple area. Plenty of parking area, however note that during the peak season it won't be available. Public transports are available, within around 5 minutes walk using bus from Kurosaki or Orio station cost around 400 jpy, or by taxi which cost higher...

Breathtaking temple with beautiful wisteria flowers. It gets very crowded on the weekends when the wisterias are in bloom so I HIGHLY SUGGEST you go early in the morning during a weekday. The Buddha statues they have on the temple grounds had very beautiful faces that I couldn't take my eyes off of.
The senbei（Japanese crakers）they sell are also very tasty and would recommend as a omiyage (they tasted like giant fortune cookies 🤤). The wisteria flavored soft serve ice cream was very popular as well.

JR黒崎駅からのアクセスは、隣の黒崎バスセンター1F西鉄バス40番・75番に乗車、「明治町団地」で下車、徒歩5～6分。トイレあり。ただしトイレットペーパーはなく、水に流せるタイプを持参か、売店で20円で購入して使用。敷地は広く、隣接の吉祥寺公園（展望台あり）含めて丘陵地に位置するため、段差のある遊歩道や石段が主。本堂前の藤棚以外もゆっくり眺めてまわりたいなら、足元の準備は万全に。
誕生山吉祥寺（たんじょうさんきちじょうじ、通称きっしょうじ）。浄土宗の第ニ祖・鎮西上人誕生の地。御本尊は木製阿弥陀如来坐像。「腹帯の弥陀」として有名で、安産祈願の絵馬が目立つ。御本尊を直に拝めるのは御開帳法要の日時のみ、普段は秘仏とのこと。敷地内には仁王像、吉祥観音、来迎弥陀三尊仏（観音菩薩、阿弥陀如来、勢至菩薩）、閻魔様のお姿も。お小言、必見。ほか青みを帯びた四国産の岩もすごい。 本堂前と閻魔堂前には「大念珠」という滑車仕掛が提げられている。南無阿弥陀仏を唱えながら念珠をゆっくり下に引くと、木製の珠どうしがぶつかり、パチン！パチパチン！とけっこうな音。あー、さっき聞こえてたのこれだ。煩悩を払い、明るく正しく仲良くを心掛けたい。
四季を通じて花や樹木の美しさを楽しめる寺院だが、吉祥寺といえばやはり、藤の花！樹齢160～170年以上とされる「のだふじ」は4月中～下旬が見ごろ。数種類の藤が植えられており、開花時期が少しずつずれている。今年は見ごろを逃したと思ったが遅咲きの品種が咲いてくれていて助かった、という声も多々聞く。 最盛期となる毎年4月27～29日に「藤まつり」を開催。露店が並び、吉祥太鼓が披露される。入場無料だが、藤は剪定や保全など手間も費用もかかるもの。感謝の気持ちで百円以上は納めたい。お佛籤や、縁起物、甘いものを購入するのもよい。名物である藤の花の香りを足したソフトクリーム400円がちょうどおいしくなる季節。ほんのり甘い藤せんべい（バラ売り2枚入1袋110円、箱入もあり）を土産に。 なお、吉祥寺藤まつりの開催期間中は駐車場は利用できない。会場周辺に臨時駐車場なども開設されないので、...
