Shiranoe Botanical Garden — Attraction in Kitakyushu

We really love this place. Great for everyone. You can visit year round since they have many variety of plants and flowers which have different peak blooming time. This park will give different atmosphere in different season. The view is breathtaking. Many choices if hiking routes including wheelchairs and strollers. Just be careful when you bring children since they usually like go up and down through the stairs. You can also rent walking stick for free. Easily accesible using public transport. Use jr train, get off at Mojiko Station and wait for Nishitetsu's #41 bus. Bus waiting time depends on the day, sometimes an hour sometimes is just half an hour. Use the same bus from halte accross the street when you get off at Shiranoe. There is multi language announcement at the bus right before the bus stop. Plenty parking space for cars and bus. The entrance fee is dirt cheap and foreigners get extra discount. Souvenirs shop and utilities are conveniently available too. What can you ask for more. Definitely worth to visit.
