Nakatsugawa Valley — Attraction in Kitashiobara

Really lovely little valley with a river winding through. Based on pictures, it seems like it would be lovely in autumn, but late summer was gorgeous too! The current is quite strong, so you shouldn’t swim, but it feels nice to put your feet in the cold water and relax for a few minutes.

Be aware that it's about a 10 minute walk from the rest house and most of that is stairs. So coming back up will be quite the leg/lung workout. Be especially careful on the last few steps and the rocks when you get down...

Great if you want a little river gorge mostly to yourself - not too many folks come all the way out here and it's very pretty. Lots of wildlife, though, so look out for bears and Japanese...

2022.10.30 裏磐梯の紅葉狩りコースに計画して、楽しみにしていました 駐車場にはちょっとしたお食事処などがありました 着いたらまずトイレ済ませたほうが安心ですよ(。^。^。)

渓谷へ降りていく入口に、『熊注意』の看板がありました 二人以下の場合は、熊よけの鈴などで対策したほうがいいかもしれません 熊さんたちも冬眠の準備でウロウロしているかもしれませんしね (о´∀`о)

上からチラチラ渓谷が見えるのですが、突き進むうちに帰り道のツラさを想像してしまうかもしれません おそらくお年寄りは無理かと思います

渓谷へ降り立つ一番下の部分が、洪水か何かの影響で階段が流されているので、ロープを使い登り降りします １メートルから２メートルなのですが、お年寄りは無理です ただ、渓谷へ降り立たなくても十分絶景は堪能できると思いますよ("⌒∇⌒")

渓谷へ降り立つと、異世界のような岩肌と様々な色に染まった木々たちが迎えてくれました (о´∀`о) 写真何枚撮ってもキリがないです

もう一つのビュースポットは渓谷を上から眺められる中津川橋です 橋の上から渓谷の全体を一望できます

知名度は高くはないですが、裏磐梯へ観光に行くなら絶対おすすめの渓谷です
