I really enjoyed visiting Miyagase Lakeside Park. The view of the lake is beautiful and the walking paths are wide and easy to follow. Parking is available nearby (around 500–800 yen), and there are also clean toilets including ones for people with disabilities, which is very convenient. Entrance to the park is free, but if you come during special events like the Christmas illumination, there may be some small ticket charges. The place is stroller and wheelchair friendly in most areas, though some slopes are a bit tiring. Food stalls and restaurants are there, but on weekdays many are closed, so it’s safer to bring your own snacks or drinks. Barbecues and open flames are not allowed, and some areas don’t allow pets, so keep that in mind. The best part for me was the peaceful atmosphere by the water and the seasonal flowers, but the downside is that it gets extremely crowded during cherry blossom season and winter events, and parking fills up very fast. Overall, it’s a lovely spot for families, couples, or anyone who enjoys relaxing in nature, but I recommend going on a weekday if you...

The park is impressive for its magnificent nature and beautiful suspension bridge. The park is beautifully maintained and children can play around safely. The combination of the large mountains and the suspension bridge is so magnificent that visitors can feel liberated just by looking at it. The area is lined with old-fashioned restaurants and souvenir shops, providing a relaxing atmosphere. In particular, the warabimochi (Bracken-starch rice cake, 400 yen) is very delicious, with a very fluffy and glutinous texture, unlike those available at most supermarkets. There are almost no street lights in the park, so it is basically difficult to use the park after dusk, but it may be a good place for star gazing. Parking is available...
