We only went to rokko sanjo station and stopped at the tenren observatory. It was a chilly day and very windy so we decided not to keep going. You have to pay a few transfers to get up to the first observation point. We took a bus to rokkomichi, and then paid for the cable car. If u wanted to keep going, u would have to pay for another cable car or bus. The cost adds up. While the view was nice (and likely nicer at night or sunset), there was nothing immediately to do outside of rokko sanjo. The one cafe was closed that day… there were no touristy shops or trinket shops or eateries nearby (might be a good thing depending on who you talk to)… and i found interesting that the area around the observatory was unkempt - weeds and dead leaves growing. I just find that unusual given that other touristy spots are very well maintained and greenery is always consistently manicured. We went on a weekday and perhaps it is busier and livelier on weekends. Admittedly we did not venture further up where there seems to be more touristy things (a tourist info center, a garden, possibly hiking opps), but we werent sure whether it would be worth paying more to risk things being closed since we were there mid afternoon and the weather was not...

I read mixed reviews of the hike being hard or easy. I started from Ashiya station and followed the groups of hikers. The first hour was a steep climb up a rocky terrain. The next two hours were mostly dirt and gravel paths. There was a good amount of people. People kept passing me and I also passed a few people. I went down the other side of the mountain to go to Arima. It took about two hours on dirt path with a bunch of rocks. From Arima, I took a half hour bus ride to Kobe for 770 yen. It was a fun hike with lots of views. I wish I had hiking shoes instead of just my running shoes. I could've used the extra traction while crossing the rocks of the...

Been up it twice now and cant recommend it enough. Its such a beautiful hike for all levels of hikers.

What I Like a lot ist that it has lots of Terrain and scenery changes that never make it boring. Its also a great challenge If you want to do it as quick as possible. The mountain only really hast one popular viewspot so Take than Info consideration.

There is a hut to eat with great food at the top but they only Take Cash, so Take Care.

For those still reading, my time was 2:07 from the omoto station or whatever it was called. For those seeking a Challenge,...

🇯🇵Kansai, Japan - Free & Easy Trip# —— Six甲山牧场⛳️, a must-visit over Nara! ✨This hidden gem is a perfect blend of healing, leisure, cuteness, sunshine, relaxation, and a photographer's paradise! ——————————————————— 1️⃣Location: Kobe🎡 How to get there? Take the Hanshin Line🚇 to Kobe Sannomiya Station, where you can buy the (Arima-Rokko Pass) at Sannomiya Station. This pass (see pic 2) comes in two versions: one for Kobe and one that includes Osaka to Kobe, both around 100+ yen💰. Since I was heading back to Osaka the next day, I opted for the one that includes the Hanshin Line🚇. ❗❗️️Note: This pass is a must-buy. It's convenient and cheap! It covers the train🚋, bus🚌, uphill train (see pic 3), a visit to either the Arima Onsen's Gold or Silver Spa♨, and the sea-view cable car🚡 (see pic 9)! It's a special offer for tourists visiting Rokko and Arima Onsen! 2️⃣What's there? Check out my pics and the text above. There's a super-healing farm⛳️ with a sea view! The Rokko Mountain Observatory (see pic 8) offers a panoramic view of the entire Osaka Port and Kobe Bay! It's truly a sight to behold, so I highly recommend it😍 Plus, there are adorable sheep and cows, much cuter than Nara's deer. It's not crowded, so it's peaceful. Sunshine☀. Laying on the grass, soaking up the sun, with sheep by your side and the ocean in the distance – for a working dog like me, it's incredibly healing and beautiful💕. I just wanted time to stop… 🎈Additionally, there are various trains and cable cars. The train I rode was like the one in #妻子的浪漫旅行# in Switzerland, a retro, step-style train🚂, very nostalgic. Oh, and the super-delicious pure milk ice cream🍦, made from fresh milk from the farm's cows – even I, who hates milk, loved it! Sweet and delightful~ There are many other interesting spots I won't detail here, but if I return to Japan, I'll definitely go again🤪 3️⃣Arima Onsen♨ After enjoying Rokko Mountain Farm, take the bus🚍 to the Rokko Cable Car🚡 station. Show your pass to the staff and you can ride the free downhill cable car straight to Arima Onsen♨! As you descend, you're surrounded by the sea, and the sunset casts a glow on the Arima Onsen's maple leaves, making it feel like a dream💕. Then, follow the navigation to soak in the hot springs, washing away the day's fatigue. Afterward, stroll through the streets of Arima Town, enjoying snacks whose names I've forgotten, feeling like I'm in a Japanese drama. Recalling the day I spent at Rokko Mountain and Arima, it feels incredibly beautiful and worth it, truly making life worthwhile❤
