Makuraganosato Koga Rest Area — Attraction in Koga

"Michi no Eki" (rest area) near Koga. When we went there were lots of vendors outside selling plants and flowers, art, handmade bamboo(?)/reed(?) furniture, secondhand clothes, plushies, jewelry and more! Also, there seemed to be some idol event ("Adachi House"?) going on so there were lots of young people too and the atmosphere was good ^^ Inside the actual rest area they sell a large variety of (local) souvenirs and fresh fruits, vegetables and other food products. The "wagashi" (Japanese sweets) place gave away samples to try which was fun! There is also a café area with udon noodles, bread and drinks and a convenience store, so literally something for everyone's liking :) I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for something to do on a lazy day. I absolutely loved the people of Ibaraki Prefecture in Japan. They even have their own dialect which is really funny if you are used to the typical Tokyo dialect. Everyone is very laid back and friendly and life is almost at a stand still compared to the fast paced lifestyle of Tokyo. I would definitely love to go back here...

今日、初めて行きました！野菜と軽食の目的で。連休中日、13時位。🅿️は混雑していましたが少し離れた場所には停められました。正面玄関の真上が吹き抜けで解放感もあり綺麗でしたが… 反対側にも自動ドアがありお客さんがひっきりなしに入ってきます。エアコンが故障かと思ったくらい温い店内。 ベビーカーや小さなお子さん連れは時間帯を変えるなどしたほうが良さそうです。フードコートのテーブルは窓側にカウンターで10席以上はありテーブルも4人掛けが20は無い感じでした。 土日祝には足りない席数かもしれません。席を待つ場所もそんなに無いので買い物をして時間を潰しました。構造上、仕方ないのかもしれないですが暑さとの戦いで次回は冬に行くしかないと思いました。 小さな出店ブース、揚げ物や珍味、スイーツがありサーヒスエリアのようなラインナップです。野菜、惣菜、パン、乳製品と魅力的な商品があり買い物はとても満足できました！ 外でマルシェが開催されていて遠目にはリメイク洋服や袋小物、アンティーク雑貨等、テントが6-8はあったと思います。暑さに負けて見れ無かったのが残念です… フードコートの調理の回転は早いほうだと思います。食券を買うと自動的に厨房に伝わり、番号が呼ばれたら取りに行くシステムです。 買い物欲は満たされたのですが、暑さに耐えられず滞在時間は短めになったので星🌟三つまで。すみません。 暑いとそこかしこで怒号が聞こえるのでこの時期は午前中か夕方が良いかもしれません。人気の米粉パン狙いの場合...
