One of the few festivals I’ve been to in Japan that has information in English.

Really interesting festival and a must if you live in the area or are visiting the area at the time of the festival.

The train back into Nagoya can be really really busy after the festival. Consider taking the train the other way to Inuyama then the Inuyama line back to Nagoya. It’ll add time to your journey but you’ll be...

Interesting place! Maybe not for more conservative people without open minds or wanting to know history/tradition.

It's a shrine to pray for the health of families wanting children, those who have had them, and those who have lost them. You'll see many couples, families, and small children here for that. The giggling about the statues aside it was cool to learn about it's purpose.

A very beautiful and well maintained shrine. It was a fun place to visit. The people around the area are very kind. It was a breath of fresh air being away from the busy city. I feel like people should not give this place a low review just because of the phallic objects. If you’re going this far from the city you should know what you’re expecting.
