Gozaisho Ski Area — Attraction in Komono

One of the wonderful experiences at Gozaisho Ski Resort was the kindness of the male attendant we met at the disembarkation point. When we finished skiing and headed to the disembarkation point, he welcomed us with a smile. His warm attitude warmed our hearts on a cold winter day. He helped us with our skis and made sure we could move smoothly to the disembarkation point. In addition, he told us about the ski resort and the surrounding tourist spots. Listening to him, I felt that the charm of Gozaisho Ski Resort was even more intense. In particular, the restaurant he recommended serves dishes made with local ingredients, and I would definitely like to stop by there on my next visit. Amazing Scenery, more for ski begginers due to short gradual slope and small ski area. Rental of ski equipment and shoes cost 3000 yen (additional costs for using chair lift to go up slope; classes available at additional costs; charges for cable car), Sledging available for kids. No snow boarding here. Pity they close early 1530 hrs. I recommend going during winter due to the beautiful scenery, we spent many wonderful hours having fun throwing snow balls and taking in the amazing scenery at the summit that we lost track of time. Very organized, peaceful place. The ski area is on the top of gozaisho mountain which is 1200 meters high. To reach up there you can either choose lift cart or can walk on the hiking trails. Ski equipment or sledge are available on rent. Ski equipment is available on the top but if you need sleds then you have to rent them at the base point and take them with you on the top. At the base point there are combini store, café, equipment store and winter clothing store. On the top there is a restaurant and wending mashines.
