Nice museum about brush and calligraphy. There is a free activity to learn to write your name (katakana or kanji) with a teacher. Lots of fund activities for kids as well. Only issue was that there was no translation in English but there is free wiifii so you can use google translate picture function and understand everything!

Very engaging museum of the history of Japanese as a written language and the traditional local brush makers. Lots of interactive stuff for the kids, and a wide variety of decent led activities too. Nice gift shop and cafe as well!

We have reservations workshop for making brushes. They offer certain number of words engraved on the bamboo body ready for your own personal brush. Very impressive. Allow two weeks for the schedule
