Beach of Sosu (楚洲の砂浜) is a remote and lesser-known beach in northern Okinawa, often considered a hidden gem. What makes it truly unique are the large coral rocks standing in the shallow waters, many of which are covered with vegetation and small trees, resembling tiny floating islands.
Even though I visited on a weekend, there were very few people around—only a few local Japanese families camping near the shore. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, with no crowds or commercial facilities, just the sound of waves and the sea breeze.

Read moreWas completely empty except for a lady and her dog plus us. Toilets are over the road and small parking is a few meters from a break water where you can walk down onto the beach. This is a little uneven so care is needed. The is no food or drink or cafe here bring your own is my advice. The beach is mostly shingle and coral stones. A remote beach with no tourists, other than the ocassional camper or visitor, passing through, it's sort of run down but, enjoyable for those who wish to get-away-from-it-all.
