🌿 Izunuma-Uchinuma Sanctuary Center 🕊️ Such a surprisingly lovely and well-maintained nature facility! ✨ The small botanical garden near the entrance was filled with seasonal flowers and greenery—so refreshing to see up close 🌸🌿

The lotus flowers blooming in the nature observation area were also stunning, perfectly reflecting on the peaceful waters 💧💖 Can’t believe admission is free! A beautiful spot to relax and connect with nature 🍃

Great place to learn about birds, insects, fish among other animals around the sanctuary. The first floor has interactive learning tools for kids enthusiasts. The upper deck has a display area and 180 view of the lake with a breath taking view. Many telescopes available for close up viewing. I will visit again....

【2022.08.11】 祝日の朝、墓参。 築館のパン屋で買い物をし車で移動。車内で昼食後に見学。 この近くの小学校、今は廃校になり建物が残るのみとなりましたが、祖父最後の赴任先の近くにあります。 職員と思われる方の案内で入館時に体温測定、消毒。 館内は広々としており、見学者もまばらでゆっくり見て回りました。 小学生から高校生までが出品した見事な愛鳥週間のポスターに目を向けながら、伊豆沼周辺のジオラマを見学。こちらも完成度が高く驚くばかり。見学者を飽きさせない工夫も面白い。

エレベーターで2階へ移動。 休憩スペースでは2人のご婦人方が食べ物を持参して談笑。その横を先に進むと沼が一望できる。望遠鏡が設置されており、さすがに季節外れで白鳥は見られなかったが雄大さが感じられる。 ハスが見られるものと思ってやってきたが、覗いた望遠鏡からはその片鱗すら見あたらず、そこには熱い陽ざしのみが残るだけだった。 しかし、帰路についた直後に近くの小さな湿地にはハスの群生が見られ、私の...
