SKIP THIS PLACE. this was the saddest sight for a horse and animal lover. I left wanting to cry for these horses.i was horrified by the poor and deplorable conditions those animals are in. Keep in mind ** DONT FEED DONT TOUCH THE HORSES * Dirty and disgusting toilet by the white house ,so unsanitary old outdated with brown water flushing . Got a lot of concern about the health and welfare of those horses , especially the ones in constant pain. Overgrown hoof ( and in dear need of a bare trim farrier some may even need corrective showing to rebalance their body) ,ribs showing , not many water spot . The grazing area the grass is already very short .didnt see any hay or supplement . One has its eye hurt and going blind an other had its canon bone touching the ground ouch .400 yens to enter supposedly " for the horses" but for any horse lover who knows horses and understand horse anatomy lot of malformation ( possibly from inbreeding) only a 100 of them breeding constantly within the same group and line ? And the ones with poor genes arent gelded either.thats a horrifying breeding proccess.the stallion are free to breed constantly even with mare that shouldnt or are in to poor condition to.This was the saddest sight for me as a horse owner. The gift shop was boring unoriginal bunch of horse plush cheap low quality key chains and postal cards . Nothing impressive . Staff wasnt the most friendly either and nothing much is explain........

The cape is renowned for its native wild horses (Misaki-uma), national natural treasures bred by samurai for warfare. Around 100 of them roam freely on the hills. They’re quite calm and well-behaved, but it’s best to maintain a safe distance. The view from the lighthouse was spectacular, even in the rain.

This spot is definitely one of my Kyushu favorites. I highly recommend it, especially for nature and tranquility lovers. Just be mindful of your step, though, as there’s horse...

An amazing place with wild horses around We visited there in July and perhaps it’s too hot that many horses hide in the shadow XD Probably could have seen much more if we go in s milder weather

Tranquil and not packed with tourists Road trip there maybe a bit difficult coz the roads are a bit curved and narrow and would get quite dark near sunset

Definitely worth a visit and please assign enuf time to spend there (1-2 hours even if you won’t go up to...
