Kotobiki Beach : Amino is located in the northern-most part of Kyoto prefecture called Kyo-Tango. The area belongs to Takeno region of Kyo-Tango. Although the area was once an independant town of Amino-cho, as of 2004 it was merged with 5 other neighboring towns to form Kyo-Tango City. The local industry is a type of traditional fabric called Tango Chirimen. The area is blessed with abundance of nature such as waterfalls, hot springs, sand beaches, mountains etc.

Kotobikihama Beach is located in Kakezu village in the area of Amino. The sand of this beach is known to make a squaking sound reminds you of a sound of strings of harp being plucked for each step you take on the beach. Sand could probably squeak more under your feet on a drier and sunnier day. But this was good enough. It's a nice place to sit back and watch the waves rolling in.
