Shiroshima Park — Attraction in Kyotango

Shiroshima is located in the west along the coast of Tateiwa Rock. Shiroshima stands for " castle island ". Just as the name suggests there once was a castle belonged to a lord of Tango ( Arai Clan ) up on this island. The entire island is a park area for visitores to go up and down to enjoy the great scenic view around the island. Up on the top is a pond enshrining a deity of Benzaiten in its central part. Due to a short visit, I wouldn’t be able to walk around there but the water is so clear and the scenery was also amazing!! I would love to go back there next time when I have more time and walk around and spend some good time in nature!!
