It is a small museum and everything is in Japanese though and there a fee of 300 yen. There is a good and well maintained collection of local insects and butterflies in particular, the mountaineering equipment and the local history. I enjoyed it even though I do not much of Japanese. The ladies at the reception area so sweet, kind...

It was great exercise to go to in my bike. The grounds are well maintained and the view of the area you get is so worth the trip up the mountain. The staff at the place were super nice. A staff member even explained some things at the museum for me which was super nice. It was nice place to...

It was great exercise to go to in my bike. The grounds are well maintained and the view of the area you get is so worth the trip up the mountain. The staff at the place were super nice. A staff member even explained some things at the museum for me which was super nice. It was nice place to spend a good day.

アルプス公園内にある施設です。 一部展示物は有料ですが、5階の360度展望台や、1階の砂防ダム関係の展示物は無料で学習することが出来ます。 大人から子供まで楽しめる施設です。 先ずは入って直ぐに案内の方がいらっしゃるので詳しく聞いてみるといいですよ。 360度パノラマ展望台は見事です。 常念岳方面に望遠鏡が設置してありました。 松本平を一望するには城山、長峰山に引けをとらない良い場所だと思います。 砂防ダムの資料はビデオやライブカメラで詳しく展示してあります。 川は梓川や牛伏寺川、女鳥羽川、姫川など、山においては上高地、焼岳などの過去の災害の映像を見ることが出来ます。 地震について備えの説明などもありました。 とても良い施設です。
