Pokemon people The Pokelid is near the entrance. There are multiple ticket options, only this museum, or with other places. I think there's both indoor and outdoor museum space here so don't visit on a rainy day. It was not busy on the Saturday we stopped. I really wanted to visit inside but my traveling companion did not. I was sad.

Mikasa city museum. Old coal mining town. Has interesting artifacts from coal mining heyday, features collection of large fossil ammonites which makes this a must for the fossil buff. Walking trail behind museum leads to track to the open-air section consisting of coal mine and geozones.
