Quiet and peaceful. Very scarce due to the timing I guess and you can enjoy the full bloom of the songs of the summer bugs (traditionally something what Japanese enjoy along with the summer season)
It is an interest to me that Japanese actually refer to the sounds that the insects make as “voice” and that is something that goes without explanation but there were researches mentioning that people with the base linguistic background from regions other than Japan and Polynesia hardly can hear them (or even not at all!)
