Highly recommended for the family! We were a bit confused in the beginning but figured out the best way to visit the park is to drive your own vehicle through the safari area. It is ¥2,600 per adult and kids under 3 are free of charge (¥1,600 per child 3 and up). You also get a tablet in English to guide you through the safari with information. For the safari is cash only. The safari is paved and any car will be able to make it around the park. We went during the week and were the only car at that time so we stopped by and saw the animals without anyone behind us. It took us about 40mins to go around the road. Towards the end of your safari, you can stop by the petting zoo and that’s what was so fun for my son! You follow the signs to park and you can walk around and see more animals up and close! Kangaroos, goats, giraffes, red pandas, owls, rabbits, capibaras, and a lot more! Pack coins so you can buy capsules of food to feed all the animals! You can go around the safari as many times as you want for that day as well with the ticket they give you. Once you’re done, you can park outside the souvenir shop which does take credit card. There is a restaurant that is cash only as well but we didnt try it but it looked good! There are also rides like a ferris wheel, trains, mini go karts for kids but we didnt have time for everything. My only criticism is that some of the facilities seem outdated but other than that, this was fun...
Read moreHave been here the second time after 15 years, sadly man area have not improved. Where there are nice areas for Zebra and other plant eating animals, remain the areas for the predators mostly very sad. Maybe the owner can help me to feel better and share, why 4 Bears are living on an area of 30 sqm, there is a Tiger and all white Tigers living in small cages on concrete, a lonely lion in a separate area with concrete and a Cheetah and another another Tiger in very tiny area? It feels so sad seeing those majestic animals in such circumstances. Do they get any opportunity to move? Also the Hyena shows some bad behaviour as seen with animals having small living space. This was also observed for one Bear and some other animals having no chance to move or anything which makes them using their brain. Basically, most of the animals have been very apathetic, however this may be due to the temperature and time. Please consider, maybe not the amount of animals makes the visitor happy, but the health (body and mind) and seeing the animals acting as close as possible in the wildness. It’s such pity, that great experience such as with the panda are gone after seeing the small, concrete cages of the predators. Did Ou ever consider to establish sponsorships, such as most zoos are doing? May you seek for advice to the Yokohama Zoo, which is a good practice on how to keep animals. Please change, and let us know how we can...
Read moreThis place was so cool. I loved getting to see all of the animals roaming in the open. It was so cool to drive through in our own vehicle and take our time viewing the different animals. There are no restrooms inside the drive through or feeding bus tour area. You have to use the restroom before you enter or when you exit.
We spent 5,470 yen in tolls and around 6,000 for entrance for 4 people. We also paid 200 yen for food to feed the animals with. Once you drive through the park you can get out and interact with the different animals in the petting zoo. There were a few inclines but nothing too bad. You can also enter and exit the park as many times as you want for the day that you pay. They also accept yen and card. To pay for food to feed the animals you will need yen.
There is a souvenir shop and small cafe to get food if you do not bring your own. We brought our own food.
I loved how close that we were able to get to all of the animals. Some of these animals, we had never seen before in person.
This was a great family outing or date outing. You can spend a few hours exploring and interacting with the...
