We enjoyed walking across the bridge, but with the wind and the people walking it tends to sway a bit, so you might feel like you're taking a walk while a bit tipsy.

The views of Mishima and Suruga Bay were great but as it was a cloudy day Mt. Fuji couldn't be seen.

We paused on the bridge to watch the zip liners sail along the aip line. If you pause be cautious of people walking by and don't block the bridge for others.

The trails after the bridge are bordered by thousands of Hydrangea blossoms and the Hydrangea Festival runs through July 7th.

We wanted to try the tomato ramen at the Sky Walk restaurant but the one we wanted, the pescatore, was sold out. We went back to the entrance area for lunch instead. An okay lunch, but nothing special. I tried the soft cream ice cream that is supposed to have more of a butterfat content than normal soft cream, but I really couldn't tell much difference. If you want the blue color soft cream it's only available by the bridge, not down at the main entrance. The staff told me it has the same flavor and the only difference is the color.

The zip lines were busy as was the aerial walk, which is open to all ages.

Here and there you can spot little wooden egg shaped sculptures, some with writing on them, some with smiley faces. I saw them for sale as blank sculptures so I'm guessing you can write your wish, or a comment, or draw a face on them and leave them by the trail (or take them home).

We went by car and it's about a 100-minutes drive from Tokyo. They have buses running from the Mishima train station, too, if you're not driving.

If you're looking for a nice day outing, or something to do with the kids, it's a good...

Yamashita Park in Yokohama is a beautiful, serene and historic park located along the waterfront. The park is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and it's easy to see why. The lush greenery, open spaces, and scenic views of the Yokohama Bay and the iconic Marine Tower make it an ideal destination for relaxation and recreation.

The park was built in 1930 and named after a prominent businessman and philanthropist named Juzo Yamashita. The park was destroyed during World War II, but it was later rebuilt and is now one of the most visited tourist attractions in Yokohama. The park features a number of interesting landmarks, including a rose garden, a small pond, and several sculptures.

One of the most impressive features of Yamashita Park is the Marine Tower, which stands at 106 meters tall and offers a stunning panoramic view of Yokohama Bay. The tower is illuminated at night, creating a beautiful sight that can be enjoyed from the park or from nearby areas.

Visitors to Yamashita Park can also take a stroll along the promenade, which stretches along the waterfront and offers spectacular views of the bay and the surrounding area. The park also has a playground, a small amusement park, and several food vendors, making it an excellent destination for families with children.

Overall, Yamashita Park is a beautiful and relaxing destination that is definitely worth a visit when in Yokohama. The park's combination of natural beauty, historic landmarks, and recreational activities make it a great place to spend a day, whether you're looking to relax, explore, or simply enjoy...

IMy visit to Mishima Skywalk was an unforgettable experience filled with breathtaking scenes and thrilling activities. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the spectacular views of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay from Japan's longest pedestrian suspension bridge. Standing 70 meters above ground, the panoramic vistas gave a true sense of walking in the sky, making every moment on the bridge a visual feast. One of the standout features was the Sky Garden. This beautifully maintained area showcased a stunning array of seasonal plants and flowers, particularly during the hydrangea season in June. The vibrant colors and serene atmosphere made it one of the best parts of my visit, offering a peaceful contrast to the adrenaline-pumping activities available.Speaking of thrills, the Long Zip Slide is a must-try. Make sure to purchase your tickets before 4:15 PM to enjoy this exhilarating ride. Gliding 300 meters in the air while soaking in the views of Mount Fuji was an experience like no other, adding a unique layer of excitement to the visit. In addition to the zip line and scenic views, Mishima Skywalk offers a variety of other spots and adventure activities. Whether it's the thoughtfully designed walkways, the high-transparency mesh railings for unobstructed views, or the family-friendly amenities, there is something for everyone to enjoy.Overall, Mishima Skywalk combines natural beauty with thrilling activities, making it a perfect destination for both adventure seekers and those looking to appreciate Japan's...

Visit! The Sky Walk has beautiful views of the coast and of Fujisan. It’s not too long but is very impressive and also very stable with minimal movement even in wind. The souvenirs are a little expensive, but what else would you expect! Their ice cream is unpasteurised which might appeal to MAGAs… There is a good, long cable slide which goes from the other side of the walk and returns to the same place (two slides with a little climbing). There is a charge for gloves which you keep but the other equipment is free to borrow, and you can hire extra clothing from the unimpressed lady in the photo. There is a great place for children to play and also a pen where dogs can play. There is a smoking area right next to the toilets, which although keeps the smells all in one place, rather dampens the appetite when queueing for ice cream when the kiosk is located downwind! We took a day trip from Kawaguchiko by bus which took us to the station. The bus from the station to the Sky Walk goes from the south side of the station rather than the north where we were dropped off, and the bus back to Kawaguchiko goes from the south side too. We could have benefited from that info! The bus from the station takes half an hour and are every half hour. If you are a six footer, pray at a shrine for the modern bus that has room. My knees went into a coma in the older version.
