Miura Beach — Attraction in Miura

I have been to this Beach few times each summer. It’s a white sand Beach. Not crowded and ideal location for family visit with kids for a relaxing time because it’s not over crowded. Beach is clean though some visitors has left cans and bottles here and there which is a mistake of visitors. Nearby many shops are there like McDonalds , KFC , Coco’s , Pizza-la and convenience stores like seven eleven , family mart and Mini Stop . Parking is very close to the beach and costed 1500 Yen for 4 and half hours and all the time I went there could find space for parking . Overall it’s a lovely beach with white sand and clean and not overcrowded with many shops close by . Can see many people swimming and surfing too . Also having toilet facility nearby beach .

Negative point about this place is that could not find shower room as it’s crucial after a sea bath and some shops that sells different food and drinks and rent tents / chairs and stuff like in Kamakura beach also not available here in this beach but apart from that it’s a lovely place .

Miura beach is located at Kanagawa prefecture of Japan. It is about 2 and half hour driving distance from Tokyo. The beach has swimming area and lots of hotel. Unfortunately, there is no good arrangement of shower at the beach after the swimming. There is a temporary shade for shower and it takes 1500 yen per person, which is too much I believe. Also the parking is very expensive. Per hour 400 yen parking is too high.

If there local authority does not improve the shower system and parking cost, the number of tourists will not increase.

There are some onsens and good hotels near...

If you want to enjoy a hot sand bath, this beach is perfect, and the water is also clean but not as clean as in Ito and Shimoda.

Be careful; there is no public shower place, and it costs 800 yen for adults and 500 for children for a paid one. The air filling cost in tubes depends on sizes ranging from 100 yen to 400 yen.

Free parking is possible at the roadside parking space, but it is almost impossible to get it until you visit the beach in the early morning. Paid parking is available, and it is 400 yen per hour.
