Aragusuku Beach isn’t the most stunning beach in Miyakojima, but it definitely has its own charm — especially if you’re hoping to see sea turtles. I was lucky enough to spot three swimming together while snorkeling! (Sadly, I only have GoPro footage, no pics.) I also saw a huge pufferfish.

Parking isn’t free, but it’s organized, and you can also rent a table, chairs, and an umbrella at a reasonable price. I rented a life vest from a friendly guy in the parking lot — he also shared some great tips about other beaches around the island, which was super helpful.

There are snacks available right by the beach, including Okinawa soba. We tried the hot dogs, and they were surprisingly good and affordable. Overall, a relaxing place with a unique wildlife experience. Worth a visit if you're on Miyakojima, especially if you're...

The beach is filthy and littered with garbage but that’s not what we were here for. We came to see turtles and it delivered! They are on the far left side from the entrance, past the sandy banks. We saw 4 different turtles munching on seagrass in the morning. There are lots of fish too and they swim really close to you. The titan triggerfish are absolute units.

There are pay-to-use shower stalls and a few free parking spots so go early. The paid lot costs 2000yen. There’s a little shack that rents out snorkeling gear by the parking lot.

Go during low tide when the turtles feed. The water is also really shallow at this time which is perfect for little ones. My daughter...

One of the best beaches in Miyakojima. Especially for snorkeling.

Free parking, showers and brand new exchange rooms Great for snorkeling, lot of things to see and quite close to the shore We havent experienced any bad currents, water flowing mostly towards the shore Few rental thinga available, like umbrellas and pickinc tables

No wall hooks in exchange rooms, only high up towel rack (minor detail) Check tide schedule before going, have to swim between corals in low tide so not recommended then Rental places were closed, maybe because of high wind Vending machine was not (yet) operational so bring your own drinks No safety nets and...

Free parking lot if you arrive early enough, otherwise ¥1000. Free toilets and shower facilities, a couple of people greeted us to introduce the beach. I though they would charge us or try to sell us something but did not. Food is available from the cart, drinks from a few places. Seats with no umbrella are free. Wave size and depth makes this very suitable for kids. It’s a very easy snorkel, going further out it gets better for adults. We saw three kinds of clown fish, and there are turtles if you look hard. They are pretty chilled just chewing the grass. Staff in concessions were all helpful and friendly to us.
