Very nice resort, extremely kid friendly. The views from the top are also amazing. The kids play ski spot has a very user- friendly lift/ conveyer-belt so kids can manage by themselves. The restaurant serves good and cheap food. It can get quite warm during the day, so dress appropriately.
THE DRIVE: take care the drive up the mountain can take time and be dangerous—need snow tires—-.
When we went I had a bit of a problem. I wear a bigger size shoe; UK 11, JP 29/30, so they didn’t have my size. Rather bring...
I went there at the end of December 2024, and there was plenty of snow, making it the perfect ski resort for enjoying the Shikoku climate. However, the journey is extremely difficult. A 4WD car with studded tires is essential, and a 2WD car with studded tires requires chains. Driving a 2WD car without studded tires is suicidal. There are many parts of the road where only one car can pass, and if you are not used to driving in the snow, or if you do not have the skill to back up a long way to pull over to the side of the road to avoid oncoming traffic, there is a risk of heavy traffic congestion, accidents, wheels coming off the road, and falling. ★This is not a place that can be easily visited by overseas tourists.★ The most important points are the weather and snow conditions, and preparing a car. If you go in winter, it will take about an hour to an hour and a half to climb up, and there is only one toilet on the way, so you need to be careful. On the way back, you will be going the same way, so you will need to slow down sufficiently.
The ski resort is fully equipped with restaurants, drinks, rental skis, and ski wear, so you can go there with...
