Trailhead for the Ori Castle ruins. The car Park is on the opposite side of the road and that makes it a little dangerous to get to the entrance of the mountain as it’s a busy road. There is an information board (in Japanese) about the history of the castle plus there are walking sticks available for those who need them (just return them after you’re done!).

土岐一族の流れをくむ小里一族の小里光忠が築いた山城と伝えられています。 戦国時代は織田勢、江戸時代は小里氏の拠点となりました。 土岐一族の支流である小里氏の居城で、岐阜県指定史跡。 戦国時代末期には、小里光明らが織田信長の直臣として活躍しました。 山頂部には小里城と安土城にしか見られない多角形の天守台があり 「小里城は安土城を建てる前に試しに造られたのではないか」という興味深い説もあります。 駐車場近くにある御殿跡から天守台までは歩いて30分ほどかかります。 整備はされているものの、途中険しい道もあるので覚悟して登りましょう！

あきん亭のラーメンを食べたあと、瀬戸市方面へ帰る道すがら、腹ごなしに以前より気になっていた小里城（おりじょう）へ登城することにしました。 バイクでも車でも停める事の出来る駐車場が登城口の道向かいにありますのでそこへ停めます。 本丸へは、20分から30分の山道を登ることになりますので注意です。 登り口にボランティアさま製作の杖が用意されていました。ありがたく使わせていただきました。 有志の方々が整備したお城跡ですので、ゴミなど残さないよう、きれいにして登り降りしてください。

If you hike to the top of the castle hill (small mountain) you will know why I gave this five stars. It’s uphill all the way but the ruins are worth it. May be a bit tough for frail people or small children. And keep in mind there are two other castle sites right in that area and one is supposed to have been the previous Ori castle. I think both castles are clearly marked on...

石垣を見上げると、「これは凄い⤴️⤴️」と感じます☺️ 日頃なじみの生活道路のすぐ上に 古城の空気感を感じる場所が有るとは🎵 テンションが上がります。山城なので それぞれの石垣は規模はそれなりですが 山をかけ上がる歩兵が目の当たりにする石垣としては立派です。戦国の世に現代人とは体格も違いたいした機具も無い時代に岩を積み上げたいにしえの人々にただただ驚きます。 山事態が要害となっていて小里川が堀の役目を果たしたのでしょうか 武田や織田 土岐 明智 の人々の営みを感じます。それを想像するとワクワクします。登城すると大きな🍁紅葉の木があり...
