Road Station Mitara Muroran — Attraction in Muroran

10/6/2025 - Taking a free shuttle bus from the ship docked at Shukuzu Pier (祝津埠頭) to the Roadside Station Mitara Muroran, where you can enjoy learning a history of Roadside Station Mitara Muroran and taste a world famous Hokkaido Ice Cream 450 Yen ($3.06) - must try it -, which is so smooth and creamy with the right sweetness! I bought it again after finishing the first one, and 3rd one just before leaving for another trip. Be sure to have Japanese cash with you because it only accepts CASH (or No Credit card), but accept PayPat or ALIPSY at the cafe!

Tip: Among three different flavors, the original taste is the BEST!

Muroran's special products are gathered here, so it's a place you'll definitely want to stop by. 👫 Food court and 4 sofa seats. There are about 10 counter seats for one person. 🍴 🍨 Quail soft serve Soft-serve ice cream made with Muroran's specialty quail eggs. It looks white and I don't know much about the feeling of using eggs, but when I ate it, it was much richer and had a stronger taste than ordinary soft serve ice cream. If you eat rice, I want you to eat ice cream alone 🐙 Fresh scallop takoyaki I like scallops, so I wanted to try it, but I couldn't eat it because I had already eaten it. I want to eat next time. 🍫Screw-shaped chocolate I haven't eaten it, but Muroran is famous for screws, so I thought screw-shaped chocolates were very interesting. However, it seems to break easily 😂 🍛🍜Curry Ramen One of the famous products. You can eat at the food court. 🐓🍚Yakitori Don A bowl of rice topped with a large piece of yakitori. You can also eat at the food court. If you choose half & half, you can eat it with curry ramen. 🏠There are colorful pictures, and if you buy ice cream, this is the place you definitely want to take pictures. 💴Paypay or cash only

Good location and popular for overnight stay venue

Not many parking space, it was Friday night the space nearly 80% full, meaning that majority are parked next to each other

People are behavior good and keep the place quiet at night, however occasionally we heard people hit the bell around 11pm ?

It is very close to the road, at midnight we experienced some traffic noise occasionally

The main toilet area were clean and tidy

We arrive after 19:00 all shop and eatery were closed

Oh ! The Onsen was in just few minutes walk, the overall...
