かつて琵琶湖周辺が水運で栄えていた頃に、活躍していた丸子船の資料館。 数百隻あった丸子船も現存するのは2隻を残すのみで、その1隻が展示されている。 駐車場無料、入場料300円、火曜定休。

船の解説があるものの、分かりにくい。 説明に出てくる単位が当時のもので、現代の単位になっていないのも分からない。

2Fからは、船を上から眺めることができ、説明パネルがある。 説明は少なめで、知れることが少なく、物足りないかも。

丸子船が活躍していたとうじの様子を知る説明がもっと欲しいところ。
