Just opened two months ago. You need to make a reservation in Japanese before you go. The museum is quite a ways from the city. About 700 yen one way and takes about 45 minutes. The museum fee is 500 and it is quite small. I looked around in 20 minutes. Most of the signs have explanation in English. I think most of the dinosaur bones are fake model fossils from reading the signs. Fukui dinosaur museum is a lot better if you can...

恐竜博物館、軍艦島資料館、物産や軽食（名物のケバブ等）を販売する売店（ＧＡＯＧＡＯ）、体育館、水仙公園（水仙の丘）そして公園があります。公園（こども広場）には恐竜をモチーフにしたとても面白い遊具が多数あり、子供たちが大喜びです。毎週日曜日には化石発掘体験という子供向けイベントが行われていて、本物の化石がもらえ、スタッフの方もとても親切です。（電話・事務所に要事前予約・雨天中止）また、パーク内や周辺の丘には、随時新たな植物・花が植えられており、種類もこの2年でかなり増えています。特に有名な冬の”水仙祭り”だけでなく、南側の池付近のアジサイ（5-6月頃）もとても見事です。駐車場も広く無料ですので、公園の利用だけでもいいと思います。軍艦島資料館・恐竜博物館も一度はお勧めします。またここまで来られたら、近くの日帰り温泉（南西徒歩で5分）ホテルＮＯＭＯＮ長崎の”のもん湯”もお勧めです　最後の写真は、（R5/12/28）軍艦島資料館に飾られたクリスマスシーズンだけのイルミネーションの写真です。
