肥後民家村（無料）の入口から下っていくと民俗資料館に到着します。こちらも無料です。 無料にしては結構充実しています。江田船山古墳の見学ついでにこちらの資料館の見学もセットにすると理解も深まると思います。オススメできます。 館内は江田船山古墳で出土された遺跡のコピー品が並べられています。本物（国宝の数々）は東京国立博物館にあるようです。 有名な銀象嵌の鉄刀は「獲加多支鹵」（ワカタケル）の削られた部分もそのままに複製されています（写真の通り）。また、新品だった時代のコピー品も展示されており見比べてみると面白いと思います。

江田船山古墳公園の一角にあります。 施設はかなり古く、玄関のドアをあけるとき、ギイギイ音がします！ 係の人は誰もいなくて自由に出入りできます。 さっと見るならものの5分もかからないくらいの広さ。 かつて熊本県で唯一の国宝であった古代のカガミのレプリカや力剣のレプリカなどが展示してあります。 古代の歴史の勉強になります。 地味な施設ではありますが、行ってみる価値はありました！

和水町歴史民俗資料館は、国史跡である江田船山古墳から出土した遺物のレプリカを中心として、和水町内の文化財資料を展示しています。

江田船山古墳の出土品は、ほとんどが国宝に指定され、現在、東京国立博物館に展示・保管されていますが、地元でも親しむことができるように、主要なものについてはレプリカを作成して展示しています。

銀象嵌銘大刀などのレプリカは、当時町内外から寄付を募って作られたもので、町にとっては重要な展示品となっています。 その他にも、弥生時代の甕棺や石人（県指定）、中世の田中城跡（国史跡）から出土した遺物等を展示しています（展示内容は変更する場合があります）。...
