An art village for free! that consists of several gallery houses in the forest and the gardens. Only opens on weekends from10am -3pm, also totally closed in the winters. Need two hours to visit all the galleries on foot. Nice walk in the woods on wood chips and wood plate path, some are made of stones. Bumpy and slippery. So not recommended for...

One word - brilliant! Well worth the side trip. Some beautiful artwork and buildings set in lovely forests, gardens and farmland.

The cafe serves a delicious chocolate biscuit/cheesecake. Sells lots of interesting art focused knick knacks. The restaurant looked and smelled great but we didn't have time to stop for...

皆さん！一度は来たれり！ 北海道と言えば六花亭！六花亭と言えばマルセイバターサンド！！一度は食べたことあると思う。 一口くちに運べば美味しい！美味しい！美味しい！ そんな六花亭はただのお菓子屋、喫茶店ではないのは 皆さんご存知だろうか？ 六花亭アートビレッジ中札内美術村は北海道の おびひろ帯広の中札内にある美術館➕レストランで 帯広の広大な土地を生かした芸術と食のコラボである。 レストランの名前は「ポロシリ」 北海道の幌尻岳（ぽろしりだけ）の名前だと言う。目玉料理には 「ポロシリカレー」と「ティラミス」が最高である。 ひとしきり料理を堪能したあとには、散歩がてら芸術家達の煌めきの軌跡を楽しむ。 二重の満足が得られる希少なアートとレストラン とにかくこれが「六花亭」なのだ。 期間 ４月の終わりから１０月までの 土日しか営業してないのでネットなどで調べてから行くのがオススメ。 後書き 六花亭アートビレッジ中札内美術村の近くには 「六花の森」と呼ばれる素晴らしい自然と芸術、そして 喫茶店があるのでそちらも気にして欲しい。 食で満たすのもよし、芸術で満たすのもよい 同時に満たすのももっとよい。
