True to its name, this park features six different types of flowers. You can search for the flowers in the picture while taking a leisurely stroll. There are several exhibition spaces here showcasing a variety of hand-drawn and related artworks. There are also vast meadows and art sculptures. The sound of the flowing stream and the chirping of birds in the trees create the most natural white noise. If possible, please spend some time here, as it will bring you great peace of mind.

A botanical park and mini art museum. Estimate an hour to visit all the art galleries scattered in the park. The confectionary shop Rokkatei features six local flowers which are featured as the wrapping paper can be seen there (depends on the seasons) Entrance fee applies for the park, not for the cafe. There was self-serviced free coffee and a cookie at one of the galleries (No.3)

Absolutely worth the trip, had a wonderful morning here. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and I very much enjoyed the exhibitions. As well as the original Rokkatei artwork / the wallpaper room, there are a number of indoor exhibitions showcasing some beautiful artwork mostly of Hokkaido landscapes.

It is the exhibitions that stand out instead of the landscape itself in my view. The restaurant is worth a visit for a relaxing afternoon tea. Overall a good check point only if you have a few days around here.

六花の「森」というだけあって、森が主体の施設。 六花亭と関わりの深い坂本直行の生涯と作品に光を当てながら森を探索して北海道の花々に触れる。というコンセプトらしい。 十勝六花と呼ばれる花々を森の各所に植え込んで、季節ごとに楽しめるようになっている。 僕の訪問した7月中旬はハマナシの季節（直行さんが牧野富太郎博士に傾倒してハマナスではなくハマナシと呼んだんだそう）。ちょっと満開シーズンからは外れたみたいだけど花を楽しめた。後の五花は看板があるものの、どれがどれだか、、。 ただ森の空気を吸いながら木漏れ日の中を散策するだけでも心が洗われる。他に十勝ヒルズにも行ったが、あちらは花をメインに据えており、六花の森はその真逆のような場所かもしれない。 もちろん森だけでなく、丘のような場所もあり、現代アートもたのしめる。 そしてもう一つのメインとも言える坂本直行の生涯。あの坂本龍馬とも関係のある家系なのに北海道生まれのどさんこ。六花亭にこれだけ推されてるならさぞかし裕福な生活を、、と思えば貧困と借金に喘ぎ、晩年まで開拓に力を費やした生涯だったとは知らなかった。 その直行氏に六花亭の創業者が子どもの詩集「サイロ」の表紙絵を描いて欲しいと頼むことから縁が繋がるという波乱万丈。映画化出来そうな人生。こういった話を森を散策しながら楽しめるのであっという間に2時間くらい経ってしまいます。 帰りにはカフェでマルセイのアイスサンドを食べて締めれば完璧。

9月上旬、晴天の午前中訪れました。 気持ちの良い陽射しとからっとした空気感の中、目の前に広がる緑と静かな小川の流れ、センスのいい小屋にはセンスのいい展示物。 ガーデン巡りをしてここが4件目ですが、また違った趣向で感心するやら感動するやら・・・いつまでもこの風景にとどまっていたくなる素晴らしい空気感でした。 小川は人工的な流れを作り出しているのかも。流れる音が柔らかい場所、心地よい少し強めの音がする場所があり、ぐるりと流れたあとは本流に合流しているようでした。 植生も手を入れすぎず、けれどもどの木も手を入れられており、木陰にベンチの場所では、身長より少し上まで切り込んでいました。 細部にまで手を入れているからこそ、このすばらしい自然だ！と感じられるここ良い空間を作っているのかも。 個人的感想がながくなりましたが・・・ ランチとカフェもできますが、平日でも満席となることがありました。お菓子類も豊富の販売されています。 できれば天気に合わせて訪れることをお勧めします。 遠くに美しい日高山脈とそれの上を行く迫力ある雲たち、緑の芝生と小川の水の風景はまさに絶景でした。
