駐車場はちょっとわかりにくいですがそれぞれの山に1箇所づつあります。オススメは給水塔前の駐車場です。ここに公衆トイレもあります。 県道113号を中津から豊前方面に走っていると緑色の給水塔に「吉富町」「かみんくん」の2本が見えます。ここがその公園です。 小笠原の墓のところまで行くと一気に景色が良くなります。普段から人も少なく静かでオススメな公園です。適度にアップダウンがありますので散歩などに最適と思います

勝海舟の剣術の師として有名な島田虎之助の修行場所や、中津藩主小笠原公三代の墓など史跡としての見応えもありますし、子供の遊具もあったりして、中々良い公園だと思います。しかし、手入れがされてなく雑草や蜘蛛の巣にはうんざりしました。
