Ryuka Falls — Attraction in Nasushiobara

竜化の滝は、栃木県那須塩原市・塩原温泉郷にある落差約130mの三段の滝で、その姿がまるで天に昇る龍のように見えることから名付けられました。 駐車場から遊歩道を20〜30分ほど歩くと、途中に「風挙の滝」や「布滝」など小さな滝や渓谷美を楽しめ、森林浴と渓流のせせらぎに包まれながら進みます。 観瀑台からは、一段目の直瀑、二段目の渓流瀑、三段目の斜瀑が連なる迫力ある姿を間近に望め、マイナスイオンをたっぷり浴びられます。 春の新緑、夏の涼、秋の紅葉、冬の雪景色と四季折々に異なる表情を見せ、特に紅葉シーズンは渓谷全体が鮮やかに染まり絶景です。 道は整備されていますが、落石注意や滑りやすい箇所もあるため、歩きやすい靴がおすすめです。

Ryuka Falls, located in the Shiobara Onsen area of Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture, is a three-tiered waterfall with a total drop of about 130 meters. Its name comes from its resemblance to a dragon ascending to the heavens. From the parking lot, a 20–30 minute walk along a well-maintained trail takes you past smaller waterfalls like Fuke Falls and Fukyo Falls, as well as beautiful ravine scenery, all accompanied by the sound of flowing water and the scent of the forest. From the viewing platform, you can see the dramatic combination of the first vertical drop, the second cascade, and the third slanted fall, while soaking in the refreshing negative ions. Each season offers a different charm—fresh green in spring, cool shade in summer, vibrant foliage in autumn, and a snowy landscape in winter. Beautiful waterfalls that you touch on the route like in fairy tales. A beautiful forest along a clear stream. You have to climb the stairs mainly at first. There is a second entrance further down the road but it seems dangerous to walk on the road itself, it is better to go up the stairs especially with young children.
