We didn’t know what to expect when we visited Sun Messe Nichinan, but it turned out to be one of the most surprising and memorable stops of our trip in Miyazaki.

The first thing that caught our eye? Seven massive Moai statues—just standing tall by the sea like they’ve been there forever. It was such a surreal sight. They’re actually replicas of the real ones from Easter Island, and apparently, they’re the only ones in the world officially approved by the Easter Island elders. Each statue is supposed to bring a different kind of luck—like love, happiness, success, and so on—so yes, we all took turns touching them (just in case it works!).

The view from the park was absolutely stunning. The ocean stretched out endlessly in front of us, and there was a kind of peace you don’t get in the city. We took so many photos—especially by the statues and this swing that faced the sea. It really felt like a scene out of a travel ad.

There were families and couples around, but it wasn’t overcrowded, and the atmosphere was really laid-back. Our kids loved running around the open space and exploring little corners of the park. There was even a small café and a souvenir shop where we grabbed some snacks and Moai-themed goodies.

The park isn’t huge, but it’s big enough to walk around slowly and take everything in. We didn’t plan to spend much time there but ended up staying for over two hours just enjoying the breeze, the view, and the peaceful vibes.

If you’re visiting Miyazaki or anywhere nearby, Sun Messe Nichinan is a fun, quirky place to stop by. Definitely worth it for the views and the one-of-a-kind...

The Mog Champ sends his regards.

I don't know if theme park is the right word for this since it doesn't have the traditional roller coaster rides that most other theme parks have. But you can enjoy one of the few theme parks where you can look out to the ocean and enjoy it in all its glory!

You can probably spend around 2 hours here just chilling and walking all over the place and taking some amazing photos, because you can breathe the freshest air here I guarantee you This place would definitely be weather-dependent and I can't imagine coming here on a cloudy or rainy day.

I took a lot of photos and made my memories here, I hope everyone else can enjoy this place while they're in Miyazaki too. I came here by bus which was quite difficult but I made it happen anyway! It's much more convenient if you travel here by car.

Thank you for the cool theme park Miyazaki! I enjoyed my time here.

Sun Messe Nichinan is a peculiar theme park on the coast of Miyazaki symbolised by seven Moai statues restored with permission from Easter Island. In fact, they are the only replicas allowed to be made of the originals in the entire world.

It is truly a unique sight to behold.

The Moai statues lined up against a background of the blue sky and the majestic Pacific Ocean is picturesque and quite breathtaking.

It is said that each of the seven Moai statues embody some sort of fortune such as good health, love, marriage, money, fruitful business, or academics.

If you visit on a public holiday expect a long wait getting up the hill and into the parking lot which is free but only holds 220 vehicles.

Golf carts can be rented on premises for ¥1000/30 minutes for those who need assistance getting around the vast (and steep)...

As a first timer to this place, it was an interesting and enjoyable trip. One can get to view the park of the Moai statues that were all lined up against a background of the blue sky and the Pacific Ocean. We went there in the morning so there wasn't much people at that time, however, there was a queue at the entrance of the park when we left the place. Entrance fees were ¥1000 for Adult and ¥700 for Junior Student. Paid upon entering through the park entrance, and I believe only cash is accepted. The fees are a little expensive in my opinion but I guess this is to keep this place in service and well maintained. Overall, above average experience but one trip there is enough for me. Recommended to come by car as it is quite far.
