Guys... I know you make enough money to make those cages bigger! Those are big beautiful wild cats , and the the poor bears. The enclosures should at least be 100x the size they are. Made me really sad to have to see this while our way to our drifting taxi experience 😭💔😢I absolutely love Japan with all my heart but there needs to be better laws in place for animals . Please show those animals the love and respect that you show each other in Japan. They are living, breathing, and feeling emotions to. I can't imagine living in those small cages ,helping humans make money while they suffer. Please consider moving this zoo to another location and making it better for them, listening to cars all day too. How can you do that to these poor animals , this was the saddest part of my trip in your wonderful country. Please do...
Read moreA fun experience to do once. Animals will come right up to your car windows if you give them food--or they think you have food. You can buy animal feed upon entry. It makes for some fun pics and memories.
However, viewing some animals can be heartbreaking (i.e. the ones in pens and not able to roam or the ones locked in small concrete floor cages).
As your car could get dirty or damaged, it is worth renting a car safari park only rental car there.
The dinosaur(?) museum included in admission is dark and spooky with all the stuft animals. Children (and me) can become easily scared! You have...

I visited Tohoku Safari Park on a Sunday around lunchtime. If you buy tickets online in advance, you can get a discount — definitely recommended!
Inside the park, use a rental car instead of your own. The car behind us (an Alphard) ended up covered in scratches! The animals’ drool and teeth marks can damage your car windows and mirrors, so renting one on-site (about ¥3,000) is the best option.
When entering the safari area, try to time your entry so there aren’t too many cars behind you. That way, you can take your time and enjoy watching the animals without feeling rushed.
We were three people and bought one bag of animal feed, but it wasn’t enough. Luckily, you can buy more halfway through the route.
There are some points where you’ll need to drive close to fences, so a bit of driving skill helps.
For lunch, we ate at the park restaurant — the sauce katsudon (pork cutlet bowl) was really good!
In the walking area, there’s also a monkey interaction zone with two kinds of monkeys. You can feed and gently touch them — they’re very friendly! If you hold out food on your hand from a short distance, they’ll reach out and pull your hand closer — their hands are soft and squishy, and it’s...
