Only geyser I know of in Japan. Seems that us humans have done something here. Its not 100% natural but worth a stop none the less. The footbath water from the observation deck was cold. We searched the inter-web and found multiple reports of people waiting 20 minutes, 50 minutes, and 60 minutes....we waited 50 minutes, probably showed up just after it went off. The big blast of fury seemed to last about 30 seconds and then slowly died down over the next few minutes. Do it, if anything the road is a fun drive to get here...
Edit: It appears this geyser is broken. There was an earthquake a couple years ago and now it doesn’t get crazy...
