This waterfalls is near Nikko, in Japan. We took a bus from Nikko Station. Needless to say that the bus and train connections are extremely convenient in Japan. It was a very scenic drive through forest area next to a lake in many parts. It was a rainy day, so we couldn't explore much. The bus stop was very close to the waterfalls.
We walked a bit from the bus stop to reach the falls, the twin falls looked great. The trees around had partly fall colors which made it very beautiful. There was a gift shop and a small restaurant.
There was a hiking trail to the top. But we couldn't do it because of rain.
On the way back to the station, we stopped at a famous temple and took a few pictures of an ancient bridge - Shinkiyo bridge over a gorgeous river and with the back drop of mountains.
The whole of Nikko area was very scenic with rivers, lakes, waterfalls, mountains...

As everybody probably already knows, when autumn foliage is at its peak, parking can be a tad bit hard. Expect slow traffic, too!
Irohazaka Loop, Chuzenji Lake, Yuno Lake, Senjogahara Moor - these are packed with tourists on this beautiful season.

We took photos and videos of the water flow from the “Upside” Parking Area, a couple of minutes walk.
Also, it was our first time to visit the shops , cafe, resto just before going to the main cascade (there’s a dragon signage) and saw two more cascades.
We came by quite late, around 5pm, so there weren’t too many people and finding a parking spot was not an issue.
