Mt. Mitsutoge Peak Viewing Platform — Attraction in Nishikatsura

Peak worth a visit. You can get most of the way there with a bus (just one a day in the morning from Kawaguchiko station).

There is a restaurant/hotel next to the peak where you can get a cup ramen for 500¥ or a freshly made ramen for 1000¥ which is actually really good. Definitely recommend it as a lunch break

最高の富士山を見ることが出来ます。 訪れた日は朝から快晴の秋晴れ。 展望台からはみごとな霊峰富士の勇姿を見ることが出来るだけでなく、遠く八ヶ岳、北岳等の南アルプスを゙眺めることができた。 これまでも何度もいろんな場所から富士山を見てきたが、ここからの景色はその中でもベストの一つ。それもこれも天気に恵まれたおかげなのだが、ぜひ機会があれば登っていただきたい山だ。 三ッ峠山登山口から登ったのだが、「登山」というよりもちょっとハードなハイキングという感じ。　登り口から頂上まで荒れた林道を゙登っていくこととなる。なんたって頂上の山荘まで続くこの道を四輪駆動のジープが普段でも往復している道なのだ。表面が荒れているのも無理のないところだろう。　頂上まで登りが約1時間半、下りが1時間強ほど。キツイ場所は特にないので誰でも登れるだろうが、靴だけはしっかりし...
